The Summer Orchestra is a graduate student–run orchestral program based at the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music. The program is offered at no cost to participants, with the goal of providing accessible opportunities for musicians to rehearse and perform standard orchestral repertoire during the summer months.
Centered on both artistic excellence and community engagement, the Summer Orchestra brings together local musicians in a collaborative environment that supports continued growth, connection, and high-level performance. The ensemble is committed to creating a space where musicians can engage deeply with orchestral literature while contributing to a shared artistic experience.
Qualified musicians are encouraged to apply and take part in this initiative.
The upcoming summer season will feature an ambitious and exciting program centered on major works from the orchestral repertoire. Planned repertoire includes symphonies such as Brahms Symphony No. 4, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6, and Mahler's Symphony No. 1, as well as Gustav Holst's The Planets. This season is designed to give musicians the opportunity to engage with some of the most powerful and rewarding works in the orchestral canon within a focused and collaborative environment.
Musicians who are interested in being part of this project are warmly encouraged to apply by completing the form below.
